Kurtis Bramlett Joins Bat Cats

McKenzie, Tenn. (07.14.10) - Kurtis Bramlett of Bartlett has signed with the Bethel University Baseball squad. Bramlett transfers to Bethel from Tennessee Wesleyan College where he was a member of the All-World team. Tennessee Wesleyan went to the NAIA World Series this past season.

In three years at Wesleyan he hit no worse than .320 while hitting .360 this past season. He had a batting average of .456 his sophomore year.

The Sports Management Major is the son of Steve and Penna Bramlett of Bartlett.

The outfielder feels his strengths are speed and hitting. He continues to work on improving his speed and overall game.

He decided to attend Bethel because he liked the location and size of the school. He also felt very comfortable with the coaches.

Bethel Coach Rusty Thompson commented on signing the slugger. "Kurtis is a hitter who will really help our line-up. He works hard and knows the game. We are excited he has chosen Bethel to complete his career as a student and athlete."
