Heather Capps Signs with Lady Cats

McKenzie, Tenn. (07.14.10) - Camden guard Heather Capps signed with the Bethel Lady Wildcats basketball squad Wednesday. The three-year starter was an All-District player for the Lady Lions.

Capps was a member of the 1,000 point club at Camden. She was the rebound leader and led the Lady Lions in free throw percentage and field goal percentage this past year.

Heather is the daughter of Stacey Boyd and Neal Capps of Camden.

She chose Bethel over Lambuth and Dyersburg State. Heather chose Bethel because it is close to home and she has always followed the program.

Bethel Coach Chris Nelson commented on the signing, "Heather is a great addition to a strong freshman class. It is a pleasant surprise for us to be able to sign her so late. It will be fun to watch her grow and reach her potential over the next four years." Nelson added, "Her personality and strong character should make for a smoother transition to the college game."
