Jacob Clark of Halls Signs with Baseball Cats

McKenzie, Tenn. (08.05.10) - Coach Rusty Thompson has signed another outstanding West Tennessee product in Jacob Clark of Halls High School in Halls, Tennessee.

Clark hit .427 with seven home runs and drove in 33 runs his senior season with the Tigers. When his bat did not do the talking his arm did. He was 6-1 this past season with a 2.90 ERA. He was All-District as a pitcher and position player for Halls.

The Biology major is the son of Mark and Betty Clark of Halls.

He was recruited by Jackson State, University of Memphis, Northwest Alabama, and Dyersburg State, but chose Bethel because it is a great Christian school with a good baseball program.

Coach Thompson commented on the signing. "We are really pleased to sign a young man like Jacob. He can play different positions and we really like his character. He will fit right in with our program and school."
