McKenzie, Tenn. (08.28.10)-Jackson State's Rafael Strayhorn signed with the Bethel's Men's Basketball program. He played his high school ball at Jackson South Side were he was a three -year starter for the Hawks. He led the Hawks in rebounding his senior season.

He averaged 14 points and 10 rebounds per game while at JSCC.

 

The Physical Education major is the son of Willie and Mildred Strayhorn of Denmark, Tennessee.

Playing hard and a good attitude are the strengths he feels he brings to the Wildcats.

He chose Bethel over Lambuth, and West Virginia University Tech.

Bethel Coach Jeff Britt commented on the signing. "Rafael will add more depth to our squad. He had two good years at Jackson State under Darin Hines. We are glad he is going to be a part of the Bethel family."
