Adamsville''s Robert McArthur Signs with Bethel

McKenzie, Tenn. (08.31.10) - Adamsville baseball player Robert McArthur has joined the Bethel baseball team. He played first base, third base and was a designated hitter for the Cardinals.

The Pre-Physicians and Assistant Studies major is the son David and Pamela McArthur of Counce, Tennessee.

He was a member of Cardinal squads which won sub-state titles and appeared in the state tournament Final Four. He was Academic All-Region and won the Cardinal Award his senior season.

He feels his strengths are speed and endurance. Robert chose Bethel because they play hard nosed baseball and he will join several of his former teammates.

Bethel Head Coach Rusty Thompson commented on the signing. "Robert is a solid infielder and works really hard. He comes from a great high school program."
