The Bethel College Cross Country teams took second place at the Union University Cross Country meet held Saturday.

The top runner for the women was Amber King (JR/ McKenzie, TN) finishing at number eight in 23:11. In ninth place, Mallory Blankenship (FR/ Savannah, TN) finished the 5K course in 24:38. With a time of 24:46, Anna Martin (JR/ Camden, TN) placed tenth. In 12th place, Courtney Wiggins (SO/ McKenzie, TN) finished in a time of 25:27. Shantophia Seymour (SO/Nashville, TN) completed the course in 25:52 for 14th place as Ezim Amanchukwa took the 15th spot in 25:54. Margot Creasman (JR/ Rutherfordton, NC) rounded out the Bethel College runners in 27:14 for 19th place out 26 runners.

James Demba (SR/ Banjul, Gambia) finished in the top spot for Bethel College at 5th place in 17:59. Randon Prather (JR/ Mayfield, KY) trailed closely at 6th place in 18:10. Tenth place went to Ryan Neiuwenhus (FR/ Centerville, TN) in 18:41. Bill Robertson (SO/ Portland, TN) finished in 19:52 for 12th place. Rom Plemons took 16th place in 20:53.

The Bethel College Cross Country teams will compete at the Rhodes College Invitational in Memphis, TN on Saturday, September 29, 2007.
