Milan's Leah Watson Signs with Bethel

Milan, Tenn. - Bethel University Women's Golf Coach Monte Cunningham added another West Tennessee golfing standout to the Bethel Lady Wildcat golf program Wednesday when Milan's Leah Watson made it official signing with the Lady Cats.

Leah is the daughter of Jonathan and Jeanni Watson of Milan and plans to major in Christian Ministries.

She and her teammates at Milan have advanced to the TSSAA State Tournament for the past three seasons. The Lady Dogs have been three time district champions, two time region champs, and three times Wingfoot champs.

Leah was also recruited by CBU, Freed-Hardeman, and ASPU.

She feels one of her strengths is her determination.

At Milan she has been a member of the Beta Club, Spanish Club, Crown Club, Art Club, and attended Girls State.

Coach Cunningham commented on the signing. "Leah is a fine Christian student-athlete. She brings not only a great golf game but also great character to our school and program. We look forward to watching her mature as a person and player."
