Amber Metzger hails from Oxford, MS where she played for the Commodores of Lafayette High School with Coach Tracy Lake at the helm. While at Northeast MS, Metzger earned the 2007 Best Six Inches Award. Amber earned the 2005-2006 Oxford Eagle Player of the Year and the 2006 Offensive Player of the Year while at Lafayette High. Amber is the daughter of Buster and Kim Hollowell and Danny and Janet Bradley.

Bethel College Head Coach Larry Geraldi commented, “Amber is a strong, motivated young lady that will be counted on immediately to help us on the mound and at the plate. She has performed well against top competition, and with her JUCO experience, she will provide valuable leadership.”

Brittni Burlison, the daughter of Frankie and Greer Burlison, is from New Johnsonville, TN where she is a three-year starter for the Lady Tigers. As a sophomore, Burlison earned Most Improved Player honors at Waverly Central High following the direction of Head Coach Steven Webb. Last season, Brittni finished with a .330 batting average and contributed to the team’s 36-11 record with her defense in the middle infield. Her slap-hitting and speed were very valuable to the Lady Tiger offense as well. Burlison excels in the classroom as an honor roll student.

Bethel College Head Coach Larry Geraldi had this to say about Brittni: “Brittni is a great addition to our program. She is a very hard worker and a quality softball player who has developed her skills, in the outstanding softball program at WCHS, under the direction of Coach Webb. We are very fortunate to get such a high quality individual as Brittni. I am looking forward to working with Brittni next season with the Lady Wildcats.”

Morgan Berry, daughter of Susan and Scott Stephenson and Carl Berry, is a three-year letterman for the Bolton Lady Wildcats. As shortstop for Head Coach Pam Parker, Berry was instrumental in Bolton’s state tournament appearances in 2005 and in 2007. Last season, Morgan finished with a .297 batting average and 19 RBI to her credit. She assisted the Bolton Lady Wildcats to become the 2007 14AAA District Tournament Champions and a 28-16 finish to the season.

Bethel College Head Coach Larry Geraldi commented, “We are very glad that Morgan decided to attend Bethel and to be part of our next season. She is a hard worker, with excellent speed, and has a terrific arm. Morgan will see action in the outfield as well as at shortstop. Morgan has a bright future as a Lady Wildcat.”
