MCKENZIE, TENN. (March 5, 2008) – The Bethel College women’s tennis team easily handled Webber International University in their 8-1 win in Babson Park, Fla. The Wildcats went 3-0 in doubles action and 5-1 in singles to notch the victory.
 

In doubles, #1’s Marta Carolina Bello and Karen Martinez won 8-6; number two’s Juliana Costa and Marclea Vita Santos won 8-2; and number three’s Margot Creaseman and Dana Ledbetter won 8-0.

The only blemish for Bethel came as #1 Costa lost a hard fought match 2-6, 6-1, (6-10); #2 Bello won 6-0, 7-6; Santos cruised 6-1, 6-1; Martinez won 8-1; Creaseman won 6-1, 6-1; and Ledbetter won 6-0, 6-1.

The number 22 ranked Lady Wildcats improved to 3-0 on the season. They will be at home on Tuesday, March 18, 2008 against conference rival Cumberland University at 2:30 pm.
