Clifton, Tenn. -The Bethel Men's golf team captured the Martin Methodist Classic Thursday at Ross Creek Landing Golf Course in Clifton, Tennessee.

The Cats shot a team score was 297 which was nine over par. Five squads competed in the classic.

Chris Yeater shot a two under par 70 to win and finish as the medalist in the one day event. Josh Thomas shot even par 70, while Reece Miller came in with a 75. Shane Peden shot 80.

Both Yeater and Thomas were selected to the All-Classic Team.

Bethel Coach Monte Cunningham was pleased with the play of the Cats. "Our young men played well. I am happy for all of them, but especially Chris who won the event. He was steady and calm and had his game under control throughout the round."
