MCKENZIE,
Tenn. (March 25, 2008)- The Bethel
College Lady Wildcats golf team placed second in the Tennessee Wesleyan Spring
Invitational at Springbrook Golf Club in Niota, Tenn. The host team, Tennessee Wesleyan College
placed first with a total on 728, the Lady Wildcats carded a 766.
Freshman Emily Muse (Paris, Tenn.) continues to impress
in her first season as she placed second overall in the event with a two-day
total of 169. Afton Tankersly (Sr,
Athens, Tenn.) placed eighth with a score of 192; Hayley Williams (So, Trenton,
Tenn.) finished eleventh with a 202; Nicki Price (Jr, Soddy Daisy, Tenn.) was twelfth
with a score of 204; and Laura Turner (Sr, Clarksville, Tenn.) carded a 205
good for thirteenth.
The Lady Wildcats will be
in action March 30-April 1, 2008 at Henry Horton State Park in Chapel Hill Tenn.
as they participate in the Martin Methodist Invitational.
