MCKENZIE, Tenn. (April 1, 2008) – The Bethel College Lady Wildcats women's golf team placed second in the final regular season tournament posting a score of 716. The Lady Wildcats finished 83 shots ahead of conference foe Martin Methodist but just 24 strokes behind the winner, Trevecca Nazarene University.
Hayley Williams and Emily Muse each carded scores of 176 for the tournament and placed fifth overall. Laura Turner shot a 182, good for eighth place. Afton Tankersley and Nicki Price tied for tenth with 184. The good news was that the Lady Wildcats improved by 16 strokes from day one to day two.
The Lady Wildcats will next see action in the 2008 TranSouth Conference Tournament. The tournament takes place from April 13-15 at Hermitage Golf Club in Old Hickory, Tenn.
