
NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The TranSouth Conference's Player of the Week awards for the week ending January 22, 2012, have been released for men's and women's basketball.
MEN'S BASKETBALL: Bethel's Hardy Selected Player of the Week
NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Caleb Hardy of Bethel University is the TranSouth Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week, for the week ending Sunday, January 22, 2012.
Hardy, a six-foot-five sophomore forward from Cunningham, Ky., averaged a double-double for the week and helped lead the Wildcats to a 3-0 record. He produced two double-doubles during the week with his best outing coming in a 76-66 win over Cumberland University. Hardy scored 21 and grabbed 13 rebounds in the win over the Bulldogs. In all three games he hit critical free throws in the closing minutes to help secure the wins.
For the week he averaged 18.3 points, 10 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.3 steals per game
