McKenzie, Tenn. -Gary Pollard, Jr. has signed with the Bethel University Men's' Basketball program.

The Computer Information's System major is the son of Jan Marie and Gary Pollard Sr. from Charlotte, North Carolina.

Gary attended Queen City Prep from 2010-2011. The team he played on was the National team, which featured eight division one signees.

Gary signed with West Virginia Tech, but instead attended Bridgemont Community & Technical College in Montgomery, West Virginia.

He was recruited by Tusculum University, LeNor Ryne University, Houston Baptist University, UNC-Pembroke, Tennessee Temple, and Pfeiffer University.

Gary chose Bethel because he likes the Basketball program and the coaching staff, and the fact that Bethel has a small caring atmosphere with a Christian faith.

Coach Britt of Bethel was very pleased with the signing. "We are excited to add Gary to our team, program and University, he has picked up on a lot of our system in a short period of time and I feel he will help our team in the future, he is very coachable and works hard.
