MCKENZIE, Tenn. (April 6, 2008)-The Bethel College Lady Wildcats were defeated by Crichton College (Tenn.) 2-6 and 1-10 in Sunday afternoon's twin bill. The Lady Wildcats fall to 5-15 (3-11) on the season as Crichton improves to 10-18 (8-8).

The Lady Wildcats scored their two runs of game one in the second inning when Emily Thompson (FR/Lexington, TN) smacked a homer allowing Whitney Taylor (JR/Stanton, TN) to score. Thompson went one for three with two RBI and one run. Crichton picked up one run in the second, two in the sixth, and three in the seventh. Blair Johnson (JR/Covington, TN) recorded the 2-6 loss.

In game two, the Lady Wildcats scored their only run in the third inning. Whitney Taylor knocked Theresa Crawley (SR/Callahan, FL) in for the run. Crawley was two for two for the game picking up a double and two steals. Taylor added two steals, one hit, and one RBI. Crichton went 13 of 29 and scored 10 runs as Bethel recorded the loss, 1-10.

The Lady Wildcats will host Mid-Continent University on Monday, April 7^th at 1PM on Lady Wildcat Field in McKenzie, TN.
