McKenzie, Tenn. -The Bethel Wildcats gave up a single run in the seventh and two runs in the eighth and fell to Olivet Nazarene Saturday at Wildcat Park. The Bat Cats held a 4-0 lead after two innings but ONU chipped away with a single run in the third and after a two run fourth had cut the Wildcat lead to 4-3. The late rally gave ONU a 6-4 win.


The late rally by ONU improved their record to 2-1 after the three game set in McKenzie. The Cats fell to 3-3 on the early season.

Michael Freeman took the loss for Bethel. Lance Jarreld continued his hot hitting as he drove in two runs. Chase Pilkenton and Brian Ferrell each had an RBI in the contest.

Bethel is scheduled to play Culver-Stockton  Sunday afternoon in a doubleheader at Wildcat Park weather permitting. The twinbill is slated to begin at noon.
