MCKENZIE, Tenn. (April 21, 2008)-The Bethel College Lady Wildcats were defeated by Freed-Hardeman University 0-7 and 0-3 in yesterday's TranSouth double-header. Freed-Hardman improves to 26-12 (18-10) as Bethel falls to 12-24 (8-20) on the season.

The Lady Wildcats could not find home plate in game one. Bethel allowed Freed-Hardeman to score one in the first, four in the third, and two in the sixth inning. Bethel College senior Paige Cooper (Millington, TN) recorded the 0-7 loss. Emily Thompson (FR/Lexington, TN) went two of three from the plate. Lindsey Davis (FR/Lexington, TN) added a double from one hit out of three tries. Brandi Funburg (SR/Harrisburg, IL) went one for two at bats.

In game two, the Lady Wildcats held Freed-Hardeman to just three first inning runs, but failed to score, as Blair Johnson picked up the 0-3 loss. Brittany Edmonds (FR/Benton, KY) finished the game with a double. Lindsey Davis and Theresa Crawley (SR/Callahan, FL) each went one for three from the plate. Crawley also added a steal.

The Bethel College Lady Wildcats will travel to Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson, TN for a 2PM twin bill on Wednesday, April 23^rd.
