
Marion, Ind. - The 2012 NAIA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships are in the books at Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana. The Bethel Wildcats and Lady Cats had another day of great efforts and came away with several top ten performances which produced a school record eleven NAIA All-Americans.
Deseray Washington finished seventh in the Women's 100 Meter Dash. Arielle Montague finished fourth in the Women's 400 Meter Dash. Both were named NAIA All-Americans. Washington was a two event All-American while Montague was an All-American in three events.
Bethel's 4x100 Women's Meter Relay team placed fifth. Arielle Montague, Shanice Guerrero, Jamesia Rippy, and Deseray Washington capped off their great season with the great effort.
Montague, Ronnika Garrett, Julie-Anne Blanc, and Jessica Gray placed fourth in the Women's 4x400 Meter Relay.
Both squads earned All-American status with their efforts.
Bethel's Cordarious Mann, Brian Johnson, Chaz Dial, and Hunter DeBerry finished eighth in the Men's 4x100 Meter Relay event. By finishing in the top eight all four Bethel runners earned All-American status.
Bethel's Luke James was eleventh in the Men's Triple Jump.
Saturday was the warmest of the hot three day championship meet. Temperatures were above 90-degrees with light winds and some cloud coverage.
