JACKSON, Tenn. (April 30, 2008)-The #8 seed Bethel College Lady Wildcats were defeated by #1 seed Trevecca Nazarene University, 2-1, in the TranSouth Conference Tournament at Fesmire Field on the campus of Union University. The Lady Wildcats fall to the loser bracket at 15-29 on the season as Trevecca, the nation's 4^th rated team, advances at 44-5.

The Lady Wildcats jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first inning. Bethel held Trevecca scoreless in the next two innings. Trevecca added two runs to the board in the bottom of the third. Neither team scored for the remainder of the contest as the score was set in Trevecca's favor, 2-1. Paige Cooper (SR/Millington, TN) recorded the hard fought loss for the Lady Wildcats.

Emily Thompson (FR/Lexington, TN) smacked a double that allowed Lindsey Davis (FR/Lexington, TN) to score the Lady Wildcat's only run after she advanced from a Lady Trojan throw. Davis finished the game connecting on one of three from the plate. Thompson went one of three and Paige Cooper went one for one for the game.

The Lady Wildcats will play the winner of game seven between #9 seed Lambuth University and #10 seed Mid-Continent University, today, at 1PM in Jackson, TN on the campus of Union University.
