MCKENZIE, Tenn. (June 13, 2008) – Bethel College head men's basketball coach Jeff Britt is pleased to announce the signing of Cameron Flechsenhaar.

Cameron Flechsenhaar is a 6-9, 215-pound post player from Mira Costa College.  Flechsenhaar averaged 8 points, 8 rebounds and 2 blocks per game during his career at Mira Costa College under the direction of Patrick Conahan.

"We are pleased to add Cameron to our roster, hopefully he will add more depth to our front court and give us another option to our forward and post area," Britt said. "He has played in a very competitive Junior College league in California and hopefully that experience will pay off for us in the next two seasons."

Flechsenhaar is from La Costa, California and the son of Jennifer Sherwood and Terry Flechsenhaar. He plans on majoring in Business at Bethel College.

"The genuine coaching staff and the small school environment is what led me to Bethel College," Flechsenhaar said. "I think I can come in and help the team in rebounding and low post offense and try to become the best defensive player on the team."

"I am excited to have a post presence with the size and ability Flechsenhaar can bring to this team," commented Britt in regards to Flechsenhaar's future as a Wildcat. "I think he will continue to improve once he gets here and starts to work out with our coaching staff."

Flechsenhaar was courted by several over school schools such as Mercer University, Montevallo University, and NAIA power Westmont College, before choosing Bethel.

Bethel competes in the NAIA and the TranSouth Athletic Conference.
