McKenzie, Tenn. The Bethel Lady Wildcats fought hard against No. 16 Martin Methodist Wednesday afternoon at Bethel's Soccer Complex but could not overcome two RedHawk second period tallies and fell 3-1.
Mor Efraim's score in the 10th minute of play gave MMU a 1-0 lead but Bethel's Jana Horvat on an assist from Katy Hemmingway tied the contest in the 22nd minute of play. The teams went to the half tied but any hopes of a Bethel upset was spoiled by Yalu Borbolla and Efraim who scored the second period goals for the visitors.
