
McKenzie, Tenn. -Better late, than never was the No. 11 Bethel University Soccer Cats situation Saturday afternoon in McKenzie as they scored two goals in the last two minutes of the game which allowed the Wildcats to beat Freed-Hardeman 2-0.
Goals by Mo Dumbuya and Christopher saved the day as Bethel upped their record to 7-2-1 on the season. The Cats improved to 3-1 in league play. FHU fell to 4-9 overall and 0-3 in TSAC play.
Bethel outshot the Lions 18-7 in the contest and had a 10-4 advantage on shots on goal.
The Wildcat are back in action Tuesday at Mid-Continent at 2 p.m. Bethel edged the Cougars earlier this season in McKenzie 3-1.
