
Mayfield, Ky. -The No. 23 Bethel University Wildcats took care of business quickly Tuesday afternoon in Mayfield, Kentucky scoring five first half goals and cruising to a 6-1 victory over Mid-Continent University. Bethel improved to 8-2-1 and 4-1 in the TranSouth Athletic Conference. MCU fell to 3-7-1 overall and 0-2 in the league.
Bethel had goals from Christopher Baker (2), Antonio Pereira (2), Jorgen Hansen, and Amadou Ba. Pereira also added three assists while Errol Reid and Joel Krasso were also credited with assists.
Bethel outshot the Cougars 19-12 and had a 10-4 advantage in shots on goal.
The Wildcats have a week off before they travel to Pulaski next Tuesday for a 7 p.m. conference showdown with No. 20 Martin Methodist. The RedHawks handed Bethel their first conference loss in four years last week.
