MCKENZIE, Tenn. (July 12, 2008) - The Bethel Wildcats signed Marcus Blake McClanahan from Wynne, Arkansas for the up-coming school year. McClanahan is a 3B/Pitcher and is the son of Cara Kay Cope and Mark McClanahan.
 

McClanahan played at Wynne High School and was chosen All-Conference this past season. He team has won back-to-back conference championships the past two seasons.

"We are excited to sign a fine young man from Arkansas, there has always been a tremendous amount of good baseball there," said Bethel College Head Coach Rusty Thompson. "He has a fine family and a good work ethic."

McClanahan believes that he a steady player that loves to be put in pressure situations. He also added that he hopes to improve on everything.

He was also recruited by Northern Arkansas.

Bethel competes in the NAIA and the TranSouth Athletic Conference.
