Hinton, a 6'5 210lb Memphis native will join the Wildcats for his senior season. Hinton spent the 2007-2008 season at Crichton College in Memphis, Tenn. where he averaged 6.0/ppg and 2.0/rpg in an injury plagued season.
Bethel head coach Jeff Britt stated, "Dontaye gives us athleticism on the perimeter and we are excited about what he is going to do for us."
When asked about the opportunity to play at Bethel, Hinton stated, "It is going to be a fun year for me, I am close to home and I am excited about the enthusiasm the coaches and players have here."
Eddie King a 6'4 junior will also join the Wildcats this season. King is transferring from Chipola Community College in Mariana Florida. King averaged 3.0/ppg and 2.0/rpg for Coach Heir and national junior college powerhouse Chipola. King spent his freshman season at Bevill State in Alabama under Coach Rick Bolling. He averaged 19 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists per game at Malone High School in Florida where he was named Most Valuable Player, Leading Rebounder, IA Big 12, and Panhandle All Star.
Coach Britt said that, "Eddie is a great addition to our program and we are excited about his future as a Wildcat."
