MCKENZIE, TENN. (Saturday, September 13, 2008) - The Bethel Lady Wildcats record start came to an end on Saturday, as the Lady Wildcats lost 3-1 to the hosting Lady Bulldogs of Union University. The Lady Wildcats didn't go away easy after losing the first two, they squeaked out a game before losing the fourth and deciding game.
 

Jessica Vieira again led the Lady Wildcats offensively with 36 total attacks, nine kills and one service ace. Michele Cunha had 32 total attacks, six kills and led the team with 21 digs. Deseray Washington had her best offensive game as a Lady Wildcat. Washington had 22 total attacks, seven kills, two set assists and had two block assists. Abbey Masters turned in another solid effort with 21 total attacks, three kills, 13 digs and led the team with 24 set assists. Lisa Sellers also had 21 total attacks and posted three kills and 11 digs. Newcomer Dre Townsend added 19 total attacks and four kills.

The Lady Wildcats will be back in action on Monday, September 15, 2008 at home against Brescia University at 6:00pm.
