Dayton, TN (October 6, 2007) – The Bethel College Lady Wildcats defeated Tennessee Temple University 3-0 (30-4; 30-23; 30-24) and lost to host Bryan College (Tenn.) 0-3 (32-34; 28-30; 24-30) in Saturday’s tri-match.

In the first match of the day against Tennessee Temple, Jessie Davis (FR/Nashville, TN) had five aces and 18 assists. Senior Lisa Gaddie (Memphis, TN) picked up four aces, 11 digs and 10 assists. Brittany Weller (SR/Glendale, AZ) had seven kills in the match. Michele Cunha (SO/Belo Horizonte, Brazil) finished with 14 digs as Michelle Pittman (SO/Herrin, IL) finished with 11 digs in the match. Jessica Vieira (FR/Matozinhos, Brazil) and Takira Farmer (SO/Palm Bay, FL) had six kills each.

In the day’s second match against Bryan College, Cunha picked up two aces, 22 service receives, and 30 digs. Vieira also had two aces in the match while adding 33 attacks, nine kills, 22 service receives, and 18 digs to the stats. Lisa Sellers (JR/Brighton, TN) had 38 attacks, nine kills, two aces, and 22 service receives. Weller added 28 attacks, 11 kills and 11 block assists. Gaddie finished with two aces, 18 digs, and 33 assists. Sarah Pipkin (SR/Pinson, TN) finished with 24 attacks, eight kills, and 12 block assists.

The Lady Wildcats will take on Cumberland University (Tenn.) in Lebanon, TN at 6PM on Wednesday, October 10^th.
