MCKENZIE, Tenn. (October 21, 2008) - The Lady Wildcats soccer team notched their sixth straight win, 5-0 over the 18 ranked Lindenwood University (Mo.) Lady Lions. The Lady Lions came into the match with a 9-0-2 record. Goalkeeper Tashana Taylor picked up the shutout win.
 

Jordan Nuffer scored when she broke in on the Lady Lions goalkeeper one on one in the eleventh minute of the contest, but the lady Wildcats were unable to generate any more offense in the first half.

But, the Lady ‘Cats kicked the game into their favor in the second half. Marika Fukuta scored just two minutes into the second frame on an assist from DeAnna Flores for a 2-0 lead. Then, the game was officially put out of reach in just a span of nine minutes. Karissa Ware scored at the 72nd minute and again at the 81st minute. Her first goal was assisted by Jackie Gardner and her second had help from Jordan Nuffer and Gardner. Gardner decided to score one of her own four minutes later with an assist from Sarah Halsall.

The victory puts the Lady Wildcats record at 7-5 (4-1). They will host the Crichton College Lady Comets in their last home game of the season on Friday, October 24, 2008 at 3:00pm.
