MCKENZIE, Tenn. (October 24, 2008) - The Bethel College Lady Wildcats soccer team extended their current win streak to seven games with a dominant victory of the visiting Lady Comets of Crichton College. The Lady Wildcats outshot the Lady Comets 40-1 in the match.
 

The Lady ‘Cats got off to a fast start and continued to dominate play from the outset. Sarah Halsall scored in the 2nd minute with an assist from Kendall Nuffer as she headed the ball past the keeper for a 1-0 lead. It was Halsall's first goal of the season. Five minutes later, Marika Fukuta scored in the seventh minute for a 2-0 advantage. Fukuta's goal was assisted by Kimmarley Chin and DeAnna Flores. Fukuta wasn't finished as she scored again at the 33rd minute. She blasted a shot from over 20 yards out that was just high enough that the Crichton keeper couldn't deflect it. Candice Solcido netted her first goal of the season in the 37th minute with help from Karissa Ware. Bethel had several more opportunities that they were unable to convert in the first half as they took a total 26 shots.

Bethel's control of the game continued in the second half. The Lady ‘Cats would shoot another fourteen times and did not allow Crichton a single shot in the 2nd frame. Bethel would finish the scoring in the 55th minute with on a sister to sister connection as Kendall Nuffer scored on an assist from Jordan Nuffer. Cayla Avila stopped the one lone shot and picked up the shutout win.

The Lady Wildcats improved to 8-5-1 (4-1) on the season. They will travel to Northwood University in Cedar Hill, Texas to play the Lady Knights. The Lady Knights are 10-4-1 (6-1) on the season.
