MCKENZIE, Tenn. (October 28, 2008) - The Bethel College Lady Wildcats played an emotional match defeating the Lambuth University Lady Eagles in three straight, 25-21, 25-21 and 25-22. The win avenged a five set loss on September 15, at Lambuth.
 

Leading the Lady ‘Cats was Jessica Vieira with 20 kills on 37 attacks. Vieira also served up three aces in the match. She is currently ranked number 16 in the nation in service aces per game. She added 21 digs and is also ranked 16 nationally in digs per game. Joining Vieira was Michele Cunha with nine kills on 32 attacks. Cunha added 22 digs and she is number 28 in the country in digs per game. Abbey Masters led the team with 26 assists. She had four kills on six attacks and two aces. Dre Townsend had six kills on 13 attacks and one assist. Deseray Washington had four kills on 11 attacks and two service aces. Libero, Jessie Davis, had 18 digs.

The Lady Wildcats are 13-10 (7-6) on the season. They will be on the road in Henderson Tenn. on Thursday, October 30, 2008. The match begins at 7:00pm and is an important conference contest against the first place Lady Lions of Freed-Hardeman University. The Lady Lions are undefeated in the conference and escaped Bethel in a five game match in McKenzie on October 20.
