MCKENZIE, Tenn. (October 30, 2008) - The Lady Wildcats volleyball team was eagerly anticipating their rematch again TranSouth Conference leader Freed-Hardeman University. The Lady Lions have remained undefeated in conference play and the Lady Wildcats nearly won at home against FHU in the last match up winning the first two games before losing in five games. But, FHU spoiled any plans of a challenge at home winning three straight, 25-20, 25-21, 25-18.
 

Leading the Lady ‘Cats was Jessica Vieira with 14 kills on 31 attacks, two service aces and had two assists and 12 digs. Deseray Washington posted six kills on 13 attacks, five digs, one solo block and assisted on three blocks. Michele Cunha had five kills on 30 attacks, one assist, two service aces, and tied for the team lead with 16 digs. Abbey Masters posted three kils on just seven attacks, led the team with 21 assists and tied the team lead with 16 digs. Lisa Sellers killed three on five attacks, had an assist and two digs. Dre Townsend had two kills on nine attacks and one assist. Libero, Jessie Davis, had 13 digs.

The Lady Wildcats are 13-11 (7-7) on the season. They will host a tri-match for their last home games of the season on Monday, November 3, 2008 beginning at 4:00pm against Williams Baptist College and then will play at 8:00pm against Crichton College.
