
Bethel took a 4-0 lead, but Talladega went on a 7-0 run to take the lead. After that, both teams settled down and the lead swayed back and forth. As the half ended, Bethel was down three points 37-34. Shooting was hurting the Lady Wildcats as they went 12 for 34 (35%) in the first half to TC's 15 for 26 (57%). Bethel was also ice cold from 3-point range, shooting just 2 for 11 (18%), while TC had better luck hitting 4 of 8 (50%). Teena Carter had her second strong game as she led the offense in the first half, scoring 10. Tristian Johnson backed that up with seven points in the first half, but had to leave in the second as she fell hard to the floor hitting the back of her head.
Joanna Ortiz took control in the second half, dropping in nine points and had three steals. Teena Carter and Anna Trull each added five points with Nina Djokovic's four to pace the Lady ‘Cats comeback. Bethel chipped away after trailing by as much a six to take a one point lead with 11:55 remaining. Bethel went on an 11-0 run in the span of 2:01 to take a seven point lead, their largest of the game with 5:07 remaining in the contest. But, even that lead wasn't safe as TC went on a 6-0 run to get within one point. But, Ortiz's bucket coupled with Kashundria Berry's two freebies sealed the win.
Carter led the Lady ‘Cats with 15 points. She added six boards. Ortiz had 12 points and eight rebounds. Johnson finished with 10 points and three rebounds. Djokovic was the team leader with 11 rebounds and had six points. Trull ended with eight points and three steals. Berry and Lanicka Smith each added six points.
