NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Nelphat Bor was the winner of the TranSouth/Sunrise Conference Regional Cross Country Championship. In doing so, Bor is the first Bethel College cross country runner to qualify for the NAIA National Championship.
 

Bor led by 20 seconds at the one minute mark and continued to increase his lead throughout the race. He would win the race by a margin of 35 second with a time of 26:55.

Recently Bor was recently named the TranSouth Athletic Conference Runner of the Year, Freshman of the Year and All-Conference.

The next step for Bor is the NAIA National Championship to be held at the Dr. Wayne E. Dannehl Cross Country Course in Kenosha, Wisconsin on Saturday, November 22, 2008. The men's race starts at 11:45 a.m. (CST).
 
Kenosha, the nation's only pure cross country courses with its long-standing history as a community that embraces the sport, has hosted 27 NAIA National Championship Cross Country events from 1976 to 1979, 1981 to 2002 and 2007.
