KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (November 25, 2008) - The Bethel Wildcats improved to 8-0 on the season as they defeated Knoxville College for the second time this year, 97-61 on the road. Four Wildcats hit double digits and Antoine Lesesene had a double-double in the victory.
 

Bethel jumped out on Knoxville in the first half opening a 17 point halftime lead, 49-32. The Wildcats hit 53% of their shots in the first frame, while limiting Knoxville to 40%.

The Wildcats continued to build on their lead in the second half out scoring Knoxville by 19 points. While the Wildcats shot only 40% in the second, they were much better on the defensive side of the ball holding the host team to 30% from the floor. Bethel owned the glass out rebounding Knoxville 65 to 36 for the game.

Lesesene lead the Wildcats with 25 points and 13 rebounds. He also had two assists and one block. Eddie King dropped in 21 points to go with five boards, two assists and three steals. Daniel Doyle had 13 points and almost had a double-double with nine rebounds. Dontaye Hinton had 11 points and three steals. Leroy Bell led the team with six assists and had nine rebounds.

The Wildcats will return from the Thanksgiving break to travel to Jackson, Tenn. to play the first TranSouth Conference game of the year against the #12 ranked Bulldogs of Union University. Game time is set for 8:00pm on Thursday, December 4, 2008.
