McKenzie, TN (October 22, 2007) – The Bethel College Lady Wildcats were defeated by TranSouth’s #3 team Union University 1-3 (21-30; 30-23; 23-30; 16-30) as they played host to the Lady Bulldogs. The Lady Wildcats are 11-14 (7-8) on the season as the Lady Bulldogs improve to 16-5 (9-5).

For Bethel College, Michele Cunha (SO/Belo Horizonte, Brazil), who was named TranSouth and Region XI Libero of the week for the week ending October 21^st, finished the match with 40 service receives and 31 digs. Senior Lisa Gaddie (Memphis, TN) had three solo blocks, eight block assists, and 35 assists. Brittany Weller (SR/Glendale, AZ) added 30 attacks, 12 kills, three solo blocks, and six block assists. Lisa Sellers (JR/Brighton, TN) recorded 32 attacks and 19 digs. Jessica Vieira (FR/Matozinhos, Brazil) finished with 33 attacks, 21 kills, 15 service receives, and 25 digs. Jessie Davis (FR/Nashville, TN) had 19 service receives and freshman Laura Uselton added 10 block assists in the loss.

The Lady Wildcats will host Lemoyne-Owen College (Tenn.) on Wednesday, October 24^th at 7PM in Baker Fieldhouse in McKenzie, TN.
