DICKSON, Tenn. (04.21.09) - The Bethel Lady Wildcats golf team trailed by three strokes after the first round of the TranSouth Conference Tournament. They made up ground on day two, but came up one stroke short to place second to Trevecca Nazarene University. The 36-hole TranSouth Tournament was held at the challenging Greystone Golf Club in Dickson, Tenn.  Click Here for complete tournament information.

Trevecca (348) led after 18-holes of play over Bethel (351) by three strokes. Martin Methodist (372) and Lyon College (382) rounded out the tournament field. On day two, Trevecca (348-355, 703) edged Bethel (351-353, 704) by one stroke for the Championship. Martin Methodist (372-372, 744) was third and Lyon College (382-387, 769) was fourth.

Bethel's Bailee Johnson placed second overall with a total score of 171 (85,86). Emily Muse was third with a score of 172 (83,89). Jessica Castleman was sixth with a combined score of 179 (91, 88). Hayley Williams carded a 182 (92,90) for ninth and Nicki Price shot 199 (99,100) for sixteenth.
