MONTGOMERY, Ala. –Dalton State (Ga.) extended its lead to 22 strokes after 36 holes of play at the 2017 SSAC Men's Golf Championship, presented by Newk's Eatery. Bethel moved to ninth in the overall standings.

Wildcat Rob Gray shot a 71 Tuesday and moved into a tie for 13th at five over par. Tyler Britt is tied for 35th overall. Rounding out Bethel's top three scorers was Tony Robinson who finished in a tie for 42nd

The 54-hole event will conclude Wednesday with 18 holes at the Par-71, 6,764-yard Arrowhead Country Club.

Lauri Hacklin (Coastal Georgia) shaved seven strokes off his opening round 76, while Chase Cole of Dalton State improved by six strokes on day two with a 68. One day after setting a program record with a 297, the Wolf Pack bested that by 10 strokes with a 287 to climb to fourth place.
