Bethel University is now offering the opportunity for students to assist in the Sports Information Department. Limited scholarships are available for those that are interested and qualify.

Interested students should be highly organized and have excellent time management skills. Students will work anywhere from 15-20 hours per week in the administration of Bethel University Athletic events. Students who accept the challenge should find the position rewarding and one that offers a "real job - real life" experience.

Student assistants work daily to publicize the athletic program and athletes of Bethel University by working with media outlets (radi0, newspaper, television and web) keeping statistics, performing game management duties, compiling press releases and assisting with accurate records management.

Student assistants will be attending home sports events and possibly a few away events to assist with pre/post event media coverage, statistics, work game clocks, aid in game management, and creating and distributing media guides and handouts.

Student assistants should possess basic knowledge of sports and general office procedures. A former high school athlete who is interested in sports media would be an ideal candidate.

Student assistantships are awarded to incoming students that are accepted by the Sports Information Director. The assistantships are renewable each semester.

Preferred treatment will be given to high schools students in the local area (McKenzie, West Carroll, Huntingdon, Clarksburg, Hollow Rock/Bruceton, Milan, Camden, Big Sandy, Henry County, Gleason, Dresden and Greenfield).
