MONTGOMERY, Ala. –The Bethel Wildcats enter the post-season as the No. 5 seed and will play No. 4 seeded Mobile Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. in the 2017 SSAC Baseball Championships. Bethel finished the regular season at 27-20 overall and 13-11 in the SSAC. Mobile was 33-17 and 13-11.

The Rams took two of the three games played between the two during the regular season. The Wildcats finished the regular season on a high note winning five of their last six games.

Lucas Riddick led Bethel offensively with 59 hits, 48 RBI's and 10 home runs. Colin Roberts had 14 doubles and hit .375 on the year. Trevor Bishop was the leader in wins with eight on the season. Axle Metzger had nine saves and a 2.92 ERA in relief on the year.   

The four-day, double-elimination tournament will take place May 3-6 at Paterson Field in Montgomery, Ala. The winner will receive an automatic bid to the 2017 NAIA Baseball World Series.
