MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Bethel Lady Wildcat softball program recently signed Murfreesboro Riverdale High School standout Maddie Cochran. Maddie is the daughter of Steve and Lee Cochran of Murfreesboro and will major in Accounting/Finance.
She graduated with honors at Riverdale with a 4.0 GPA.
She was named All-District, All Area and All-Tournament her junior and senior seasons. She was named Lady Warrior Offensive MVP her senior season. She also played for the Nashville Vipers and Mustangs in travel ball.
She feels her biggest strength is being a role model on and off the field.
During her senior season she won 22 games with a 1.31 ERA. She also hit six home runs and drove in 37 runs.
Bethel Coach Ellen Reed said, "Maddie is a pitcher from Riverdale High School in Middle Tennessee. She is also a good hitter as well. Maddie is a great student as well as an exceptional athlete. She is someone who has a desire to work hard and to win. She is the kind of person and athlete that you want to be a part of your program. We are excited to have Maddie join our team this fall and expect exciting things from her in the future. "
