MCKENZIE, Tenn., (06.22.09) - Head Coach Larry Geraldi has added Megan Hinds to the 2009-10 recruiting class. Hinds has primarily played shortstop, but has played other infield positions and in the outfield. She is the daughter of John and Lee Ann Hinds.
"Megan brings a wealth of experience and versatility to our program," said Geraldi. "We are delighted to add such a quality student-athlete to the Lady Wildcats roster."
Hinds is a .300 hitter that played four years at Kenwood High School. She has also been playing travel ball for the last six years. Her team, the Missfits, finished second in 2008 at the United Southern Girls Fastpitch World Series in Pensacola, Fla. This past season at Kenwood she helped lead her team to the most wins in school history with 29. She considers her greatest strength her defense. She wants to work on her hitting while at Bethel.
An A/B Honor Roll student, Hinds was also recruited by Henderson State College. She plans on majoring in Exceptional Learning and Development.
