HENDERSON, Tenn. –Bethel was among seven teams participating in the Freed-Hardeman third annual Freed Speed Cross Country Open Saturday in Henderson, Tennessee.

Bethel finished third in the men's event. Cumberland University took first followed by Blue Mountain, Bethel, FHU, Lane and West Kentucky Community and Technical.

Bethel's Emmanuel Guerrero was fourth in the 8K with a time of 27:49.  He is a 5'10 sophomore from Brownsville, Texas.  Johnathan Herrera was eighth at 28:45. Austin Childress placed tenth at 28:55. Jesus Garza was 14th with a time of 29:14.

Several Bethel women competed as individuals but Bethel did not field a complete team in the event.
