The Bethel College men’s soccer team had three players name to the TranSouth First and Second team. They also had eight players recognized for their classroom performance.
Making the TranSouth Conference First Team were, Midfielder, Armando Orozco, a freshman from Mexico City, Mexico; and Sean Fraser, a senior from Wheatley Hill, England. Make the second team was Midfielder Felix Olale, a freshman from Nairobi, Kenya.
The Wildcats also did well earning eight 2007-2008 TranSouth Scholar-Athletes. Those making the cut were Massimo Collu-Marchese, a sophomore from Thornhill, Ontario, Canada; Samy Beydoun, a sophomore from Ulleshelf, England; Jason Norman, a sophomore from Huntingdon, Tenn.; Vedran Huzbasic, a senior from Sarajevo, Bosnia;Javier Figueroa, a Senior from Tampico, Mexico; Thomas Malton, a senior from Grove Oxon, England; Bryan Smothers, a senior from Benton , Ky.; and Andrew Pennycook, a senior from Farkirk, Scotland.
The Wildcats are 10-7-1 on the season and are waiting to see who they will play and where they will play for the Region XI play-in game. The winner will be playing in the Region XI tournament to be held at Mid-Continent University in Mayfield, Ky.
