MCKENZIE, Tenn. (08.13.09) - The Wildcats baseball team added outfielder/second baseman KC Covington to the 2009-10 recruiting class. Covington was a three year starter for Obion County. He is the son of Ken and Nancy Covington.
 

Covington played four years for the Rebels, starting the last three. He is a versatile player seeing time in the outfield and at second base. Covington his .286 and drove in four runs his senior season. His team finished with a 17-18 record last season. He was named to the 13AA All-Tournament Team, was the Rebels' Defensive MVP, earned the Coach's Award, Most Improved Award and Senior Award.

Off the field, Covington was a member of Beta Club, earned the Rotary Scholarship and was named a Tennessee Scholar.

While a member of the Wildcats, Covington wants to improve his hitting. And in the classroom he will major in Athletic Management.
