MAYFIELD, Ky. (10.12.09) - The Bethel University volleyball team continued their impressive season with a 3-0 (25-16, 25-15 and 25-12) win over the hosting Lady Cougars of Mid-Continent University. It was the fourth straight win by the Lady ‘Cats, currently 17-2 (8-2) and in second place in the TranSouth Conference. Bethel is closing in on the most wins in a season with six regular season matches remaining.
 

Once again the Lady Wildcats were led by Thaise Vieira who had 22 kills on 29 attacks. T. Vieira also posted three assists, seven service aces and seven digs. Deseray Washington had seven kills on eleven attacks, one solo block and a block assist. Abbey Masters assisted 29 times on 80 attempts, had four kills on nine attacks, seven digs and a block assist. Jessica Vieira posted four kills on 17 attacks, two service aces and three digs. Andressa Dasilva added three kills on nine attacks and four digs. Shea Sheppard had two kills on eight attacks and 10 digs. Lori Magnusen led the team with 12 digs and had three service aces. Adrianna Bookout-Gonzalez had two kills on 13 attempts, one set assist, one service ace and three digs.

Bethel's next match will be in Lebanon, Tenn. against Cumberland University on Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at 6:00pm. Then the Lady Wildcats will travel to Owensboro, Ky. to play Kentucky Wesleyan University on Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at 6:00pm.
