Bethel got on the scoreboard early when Kelly-Jade Whelen scored in the 5^th minute with an assist by Rachel Rathbone. But, Shorter answered two minutes later in the 7^th minute when Candace Edwards scored with an assist from Pauline Van Der Henst. The Lady Hawks would take a 2-1 lead in the 18^th minute as Ver Der Henst scored unassisted. But, back came the Lady Wildcats on Tori Barraco's goal in the 32^nd minute to tie the score 2-2. Barraco was assisted by Morgan Keitel.

The second half was very physical with Bethel receiving two yellow cards. Tough play continued into the overtime with Shorter being shown a yellow card. But, neither team could find the net and after 110:00, the teams ended deadlocked.

Bethel is 3-4-4 (2-1-2) on the season. They will be on the road on Tuesday, October 27, 2009 in Searcy, Ark. to play Harding University at 7:00pm.
