NASHVILLE, Tenn. (10.27.09) - In an important conference matchup, the Bethel volleyball team was defeated in three straight games by Trevecca Nazarene University, 25-21, 25-20 and 25-22. The loss slips Bethel into third place in the conference and Trevecca moves into second.
 

The Lady Wildcats had problems with their hitting percentage on the night with a .167 as a team; Trevecca conversely hit .310.

Only Thaise Vieira hit double digit kills for the Lady ‘Cats with 13 kills on 38 attempts. She also had seven digs and two block assists. Trevecca had three players with double digits in kills. Shea Sheppard had the highest hitting percentage for Bethel with .357 (six kills on 14 attempts). Adrianna Bookout-Gonzalez had five kills with four errors on 26 attempts. Abbey Masters had four kills on 10 attempts and led with 28 set assists. Jessica Vieira had three kills and four errors on 26 attempts.

The Lady Wildcats are 19-4 (9-4) on the season. Bethel will have a chance to redeem their effort as they will host Trevecca on Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at 7:00pm. It wil also be senior night as Michele Cunha and Abbey Masters will be recognized.
