OWENSBORO, Ky. (11.05.09) - The Bethel volleyball team reached the 20 win mark for the first time in the program's history with a 3-0 win over Brescia University. The match with Brescia also ends the Lady Wildcats regular season and they will be in Nashville, Tenn. on the campus of Trevecca Nazarene University on Monday, November 9, 2009 at 2:00pm against Lyon College.
 

Bethel claimed the 3-0 victory over Brescia with scores of 25-21, 26-24 and 25-9. Thaise Vieira was the offense force for the Lady ‘Cats with 14 kills on 21 attempts. She also had three service aces, a solo block and block assist. Andressa Dasilva was also in the offense with nine kills on 21 attempts, one service ace and two block assists. Jessica Vieira had eight kills on 19 attempts, one service ace, seven digs and one block assist. Shea Sheppard led the team with 29 assists, added three kills on 10 attempts, 13 digs and one solo block. Jessie Davis was the team leader with 14 digs. Macy Kint had 3 kills on 13 attempts, two service aces, two digs and one block assist. Lori Magnusen had 11 digs and a service ace.

As the regular season concludes, the Lady Wildcats are ranked national in several team and individual statistical categories. As a team Bethel is #19 in service aces per game and #33 in hitting percentage (.251). Individually T. Vieira is #4 in kills per game, #11 in hitting percentage. Abbey Masters is #30 in assists per game and Michele Cunha is #44 in digs per game.
