
Five Lady Wildcats were named All-Conference and six earned Scholar Athlete. Thaise Vieira was named the TSAC Newcomer of the Year and First Team All-Conference. Also making the First-Team were Abbey Masters and Michele Cunha. Adriana Bookout-Gonzalez was named Second Team and Lori Magnusen was named Honorable Mention. Team members who earned Scholar Athlete honors with a cumulative 3.0 or higher were Jessica Vieira, Charnae Neely, Michele Cunha, Deseray Washington, Lori Magnusen and Thaise Vieira.
Bethel dominated game one against Lyon winning 25-16, but the Pipers made adjustments and made the next two games closer 25-22 and 25-22. The tandem of Thaise and Jessica Vieira were the offensive force for the Lady Wildcats. Thaise had 15 kills on 35 attempts (31%) and Jessica had 13 kills on 24 chances (49%). Deseray Washington led the team in kill percentage with 7 kills on 11 attempts (64%). Abbey Masters led with 39 set assists and Lori Magnusen led with 22 digs.
Bethel knew the next match was going to be tough as Trevecca Nazarene was the only TranSouth team to sweep the Lady Wildcats during the regular season. Bethel fought but lost game one 26-24 and fell in game two 25-19. But, the Lady ‘Cats attempted to get back into the match with a 25-18 win in game three before falling 25-16 in game four. The good attack percentages enjoyed against Lyon were absent in the Trevecca match. Thaise led with 18 kills on 48 attempts but her percentage was 17%. Jessica had 7 kills on 26 attempts but posted a -4% attack percentage. Washington's also dropped as she has 3 kills on 12 attempts at 17%. Masters led with 34 set assists and 16 digs.
Facing Union, a team the Lady Wildcats split with in the regular season and defeated for the first time in the program's history, in an elimination match the Lady ‘Cats ran into the same trouble as they did against Trevecca. Union took the first game 25-15, but Bethel tied up the match winning game two 25-23. Then the Lady Bulldogs took the next two 25-16 and 25-14 to win the contest. Thaise had 14 kills on 55 chances at 14.5%. Jessica posted 7 kills on 34 attempts at 3%. Masters led with 32 set assists and Cunha led with 26 digs.
Bethel's season ends with a 21-7 (9-5) mark. The Lady Wildcats was third in the TranSouth Conference, their best finish in the league and set a new season record with 21 wins.
