MCKENZIE, Tenn. (02.13.10) - The Bethel Lady Wildcats knew they were dealing with a dangerous opponent in Blue Mountain after the Lady Toppers defeated Cumberland University by 29 earlier in the week. Bethel never trailed and built a double digit lead that they would not relinquish in a 107-80 win. Five Lady Wildcats scored in double figures.
 

The Lady Wildcats caught fire from the behind the arc in the first half as they hit 7 of 15 from three point range. In addition to that, Nina Djokovic nearly posted a double-double in the first half with 12 points and nine rebounds. With Djokovi'c basket at 12:58 in the first, Bethel opened an 11 point lead and held a double digit lead the rest of the game.

Bethel continued in the second frame and took their largest lead 83-52 on Anna Trull's bucket with 12:10 left to play.

Kashundria Berry scored 24 points leading all scorers; she had six rebounds, eight assists and one steal. Djokovic had 21 points and 15 rebounds. Anna Trull had 17 points, two rebounds, two assists and three steals. Jana Roney had 14 points and was 11 of 12 from the free throw line. Kelsey Hamilton had 11 points, four rebounds, two assists and one steal. Teena Carter added eight points with 10 rebounds, two assists and two steals.

The Lady ‘Cats are 15-9 (6-5) on the season. They will host the Mid-Continent University Lady Cougars on Monday, February 15, 2009 with tip set for 6:00pm. The game can be heard live on 100.9 FM The Farm and on-line at www.bethelathletics.com.
